There’s no deficit of possibilities: think sleek, long leather jackets and thick, natural denim bellbottoms. Not only is Autumn the season to really show up and show out in your best outfit staples, but it’s also the season (other than Winter) that requires maximum closet space to make sure all of your garments are organized and wrinkle-free. Though it can be hard to find the space for the bulky faux fur coats and the surplus of sweaters necessary to stay warm and fashionable during Fall, worry no more. The fun part about it is that you can fit seven clothing items on hangers vertically rather than horizontally, which optimizes the horizontal space along the pole in your closet. This is perfect for layering tops over one another. I would say putting coats and heavier items on the top and bottom of each hook would make it much easier to stay organized, but you can always mess around with what works for you.
These are perfect for both under the bed storage and dressers/drawers if you think they’d fit. This is perfect not only for undergarments and delicates, but for big, bulky sweaters that tend to still take up too much closet space even with hanging organizers. I know some ladies prefer to keep a clean, open space under the bed, but between cost of living going up and sharing spaces with our partners, we have to make some sacrifices. This is a clean, minimalistic way to keep all of the clothes you know and love without having all that clutter out in the open.
Not everything you wear in the summer can serve a dual purpose. You’re not wearing your denim cut-offs and multiple tank tops throughout the winter. Like my first suggestion, I recommend making piles of clothing that can be divided into warm and cold weather friendly, and only warm weather friendly. Sometimes doing a fashion show for yourself and seeing what pieces can be considered versatile is just what you need (and you can invite some friends over to help you out). Vacuum sealing clothes saves space and prevents unnecessary clutter. That’s what it’s all about, after all: clearing out what no longer serves you. Maximizing closet space does wonders for your wallet, apartment/home, and most importantly, your mental health.
