Erewhon has made its mark on LA as the go-to organic grocery store. When you enter the store, you’ll normally see a long line at the smoothie and coffee counter. The Hailey Bieber smoothie went viral some months ago, and its demand has not decreased since then. This smoothie is delicious and reportedly makes your skin glow. And we’ve got good news: you don’t have to be in LA to try this smoothie, we’ll show you how you can make it at home!
Ingredients:
Sure it’s trendy, but does it actually make your skin glow?
Let’s take a look into the ingredients and how they benefit your skin.
You may have to take to Amazon to find some of these ingredients. Since the only place I know that has Sea Moss Gel is Erewhon, I’ve included some links to all the ingredients on Amazon so that you can easily find them. I wouldn’t know what isle hyaluronic acid is in, so amazon is definitely where I’ll be ordering mine. You don’t have to use these brands as well, but I thought I’d include their specific ingredients in case you want it to be exactly like Erewhon. The first time I went to Erewhon to get the smoothie, I was overcome with shame for spending 18$ on a smoothie. That’s why I wanted to try making it for myself.
While this ingredient list makes the process look intimidating, I swear it’s easier than it seems.
Step One: The strawberry glaze. Put one cup of chopped strawberries in a saucepan on low heat for about ten minutes. Add maple syrup if you want a sweeter taste. Then throw them in the blender, and there! You’ve got your own glaze. Put it into the fridge to allow it to cool.
Step Two: Hollow out the avocado and get all the ingredients together.
Step Three: Add the avocado, frozen strawberries, the tbsp of maple syrup, the ½ a cup of almond milk and the 2 dates to the blender. Then add the 2 scoops of the collagen peptides, the hyaluronic acid, a teaspoon of stevia and a teaspoon of sea moss gel.
Step Four: Coat your glass with the coconut cream and strawberry glaze.
Step Five: Blend & Enjoy!
