Blush is having its moment in the makeup world. From using blush as contour to create a natural look to full on blush blindness, we're seeing more beauty influencers embrace the rosy glow in looks all across social media. Even a small swipe across the cheek is enough to add a glow to your skin, not to mention the versatility of the product as a lip product or even eyeshadow. With this product making a comeback into many of our makeup bags, different brands are putting out different formulas in the market. Each time you scroll on social media, you’re bound to find a handful that make their way into the videos of our favorite influencers, but how do you know what works best for you? We’ve taken our time to learn what works best for different skin tones and skin types, and here are some of our favorites.

Milk Makeup Jelly Tint

This cult classic blush is on this list despite not actually being marketed just as a blush. Milk Makeup released a range of jelly tints that made their way onto every influencers page soon after. Aside from the playfulness of applying blush through a stick of jelly, the formula is lightweight and provides a tint, just as a name suggests. But even if you’re someone who prefers fuller coverage, the product is buildable, while still maintaining a natural finish on your skin. Many have also used the tint as a lip stain to give a natural brightness that pulls your look together. The shades work well on a range of skin tones, the only caveat being to make sure you apply it with a brush rather than swiping on your skin directly because it does dry on your skin pretty quickly.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

This is a personal favorite of mine and many others. Rare Beauty liquid blushes are known for how pigmented they are while still feeling light on the skin. Even the smallest dab on the skin goes a long way. If you’re someone who prefers a light layer, blend it out on your hand before dabbing it on your cheeks to get a light tint. On the other hand, if you like more coverage, even the smallest drop on your cheeks will blend out into a deeper flushed look. The brand recently dropped a new mini set, which includes the ideal blush shade for the fall—Beloved. This red blush gives a deep yet natural flush to the face. It sits well on most skin tones, but gives an especially natural glow to those of us with medium skin tones.

Mac Glow Play Blush

It’s clear TikTok’s favorite products are more than just makeup products, andthere is an element of play and fun to it, just like this Mac Glow Play Blush. This putty-like blush is a favorite of many different beauty influencers for how pigmented and buildable it is, along with the finish and formula. It starts off creamy and dries down with a powdery finish, creating that airbrushed effect on the skin. This blush in particular has received high praise for providing a few shades that work really well for deeper skin tones. In addition, many have enjoyed using it as a “blonzer” (blush and bronzer hybrid) to give more dimension and depth to their face shapes.

Pixi

This viral blush stick is a fan favorite for a reason. Not only do they come in some beautiful shades, but the applicator makes it easy to apply on the go. A simple swipe only requires a little blending with your fingers and then it’s easy to pop into your bag to reapply throughout the day if needed. This blush has a very natural and dewy finish, making it ideal for the no makeup makeup look. While they don’t have the most extensive shade range, they offer a pH reactive shade called CheekTone, making sure you have the perfect shade for you.

Tower 28 Beach Please Blush

This creamy blush is great for those just starting out with makeup. The creamy consistency gives it a natural and dewy finish without too much shine. Especially if you’re just starting out with makeup and want to avoid liquid blushes, this gives the same glow you’d get with a dewier formula, but is much easier to blend out. It doesn’t feel patchy and is easy to build if you want a more flushed look. What makes this more user-friendly is the fact that you can start light and control how much product you pick up. Not to mention, the diverse shade range which makes it suitable for so many skin tones.
