Closets are supposed to be capsules and we’re so excited to show you our Fall faves in 2024. Read ahead to get the inside scoop on upcoming trends in Fall footwear (and you might be able to get in on the trends before they hit TikTok).

We're waving goodbye to the platform loafers and saying hello to the classic style. Now that we're in the "big-girl" world, we want to buy footwear that outlives TikTok trends. This includes platform Doc Martens and platform Converse (but not platform Uggs, stayed tuned).
These loafers from Everlane bring out the best in what a loafer has to offer; they have a stable sole, very mini block heel (so you can run to catch your cab on a night out), and endless possibilities to be dressed down in some dark denim jeans or wide leg trousers for work. Crew socks typically look best with this type of shoe, but you can always experiment with some no-show socks or some sheen black or maroon tights to play with your silhouette.

I know, I know. A very steep price indeed. The price reflects the quality and endless wear that Frye boots have. They are also made from real leather, adding to the durability of the boot. This shoe is the moment. We're sure you've seen these boots all over TikTok and your fav influencer's IG page, and that's for good reason.
The upper, inner, and entire sole of the shoe is made with real leather, which tends to outlive any faux leather option out there, and additionally has a stacked heel that ensure there'll be no wear-and-tear for a least a few years (and that's just an understatement). These boots are versatile because they can be worn with denim cut-offs in the summer, and with wide-leg denim jeans in the fall. Pair this with your favorite trench coat or farmhouse chic barn jacket, and you'll have an outfit that'll be IG ready once you put it on.

The clog has been revived as a chic shoe simply for the fact that it has an alluring slip-on factor that a lot of shoes don't have. They are also perfect for the cozy Autumn days where all you want to do is read at a warm coffee shop or sit on the porch with a good read.
The braid detail is a bit new to Birkenstock as they usually opt for a buckle, but we think this braid detail just adds to the feminine essence of the shoe as a whole. They also offer this similar style with a sherpa sole lining for the extra cold days, but these wouldn't be for every season (unless your feet stay cold in the warmer months). They are offered in a bunch of neutrals and muted tones, which makes it that much easier to pair them with anything in your closet.
Price: $28
I must say that this is one of my favorite picks, simply because it is a timeless shoe that will remain unwavering through any trend cycle.
The Mary Jane style with a rounded toe is perfectly delicate; you get the rounded toe that screams femininity, yet the strappy portion of this Mary Jane flat adds a bit of sensuality that you don't see as frequently with the style. You can pair these with knee-high tights and a cute black mini skirt for a dark academia vibe, or a dainty maxi skirt and your favorite cable knit for yet another farmhouse chic aesthetic outfit. What I love about this shoe is that you aren't hindered by a heel, so it truly does work for every occasion in addition to every season.

Our Summer-to-Fall Transition Piece Recs
Working out your wardrobe can be complicated amidst the volatility of weather that can’t quite make up its mind. Our advice? Layers, flexible fabrics, and a mix-and-match of pieces that can be alternatively cozy and cool. Here's our guide to enjoying your summer whites while preparing for autumn breezes below.

For a more delicate -yet-sensual look, opt for a statement pattern like tortoiseshell.
These slip-on kitten heels are to die for because unlike many other kitten heels, they have a certain casual essence about them that is unmatched. The wide open toe shoes just enough skin paired with the open back, but the thick and around the top of the shoe gives your foot just the right amount of coverage. These would look darling with a sleek black dress or a pair of calf-length slacks shown in the picture, making it suitable for a work party or dinner by the beach.
Price: $270
Another perfect statement boot that rejects the block heel and dives head-first into stiletto territory, making it a sort of block heel-stiletto hybrid shoe.
Made with genuine leather, these mid-calf beauties boast elegance without taking themselves too seriously. The daring red calls attention to your feet, then BAM! A pointed toe sharper than the eyeliner you have on. The length is perfect for any trouser or skirt because it isn't too long or too short, but just the right amount of leg—hidden and not—that screams "I know I look put together but I also love to have fun." The shoe has a zipping mechanism that'll make putting together a last minute outfit based on the shoe that much easier.

J.Crew has outdone themselves with this cute Mary Jane sling-back block heel moment.
The sheen of the shell of the shoe calls just enough attention to make themselves known without calling too much attention away from the gorg outfit we're sure you'll pair this with. The straps act as a cuff around your upper ankle for extra support, and the block heel makes it easy for you to walk around in during your day-to-day affairs. You have to keep the integrity of the Mary Jane shoe alive with the rounded toe, but adding the sling-back mechanism adds a fun, new, and sultry twist to the fan-favorite and fall-forward style.

I'm throwing a cute and chic shoe into the Fall/Winter mix (unless you want to wear these on cool Spring mornings).
The Ugg Tazz in Hickory is one of the most darling colors in the popular style, and I think it deserves more hype. Unlike the original Chestnut (that has red detailing on the switch lining of the shoe), this outdoor slipper hybrid sticks to the dark neutrals that are most popular during Autumn and Winter. I know we said we'd leave the platform era behind, but I will always make an exception when it just works. These slippers with a slouchy sock. and your favorite heavy linen trousers would look amazing as we transition into Autumn and then, into Winter. I think this color will be the most popular this season because of its versatility, so hop on it now while you can (or you can wait a year like I did with Chestnut).
