When we think about luxury fashion especially in 2024, we think less is more. So far this year, we’ve seen everything from capsule wardrobes to minimize the amount of items but still maximize your looks, we’ve seen the “clean girl” aesthetic take over both fashion and make up by leaning into minimalism. One trend we’ve loved seeing is quiet luxury. Quiet luxury is almost like a combination of these trends. Women are investing in high quality basics, avoiding bigger brands and flashy labels. The focus is placed on the quality of their clothes, as well as versatility with other wardrobe staples.

Brands like The Row or Max Mara are known as the brands for quiet luxury fashion. While the quality of the products justifies the price tag, quiet luxury goes beyond cost and really comes down to value. There are many brands and products out there that help achieve this style, even if you’re shopping on a budget. We’ve found some of our favorites for you to include in your wardrobe without breaking the bank.

Tops & Dresses

Mongolian Cashmere Tee - Cashmere always has a luxury feel to it. We love the ruched neckline and soft knit texture. The short sleeves and neutral colors make it perfect for layering and mixing with other colors.

Crew Neck T-Shirt - A good basic cotton shirt is key. Quiet luxury is all about taking simple but high quality pieces, which is something Uniqlo always gets high praise for. The reason we like this one is because its more of a relaxed fit, but isn’t too oversized that you lose any shape.

Merino Ribbed Sweater - While most quiet luxury looks usually involve simple colors, if you’re looking to add some pattern to your style, horizontal stripes still stay within the simplicity. This ribbed sweater from Uniqlo is perfect for that. The colors stay within the neutral palette, but the half sleeve and fitted fabric makes the silhouette look more interesting.

Cotton Shirt - Yet another staple, a good cotton button down. Having a more oversized or relaxed fit works either as a layer or as a standalone shirt. And of course, Uniqlo’s quality speaks for itself, so you can celebrate the beauty in its simplicity.

Eco-Knit Ribbed Mock Neck Sweater Dress - Quince is another brand we love for their quality products. This sweater dress is simple, but with small details like the mock neck and the tasteful slit on the side, it can easily be dressed up or down.

Boat Neck Sleeveless Jumpsuit - Boat necks are the epitome of quiet luxury. The elongated frame of this neckline with the cinched high waist on the jumpsuit really focused on using simple design and fabrics to create a classy silhouette.

Pants & Skirts

Stretch Crepe Classic Trouser Pants - These pants will be your go to for everyday outfits. White pants are usually what comes to mind when you think of quiet luxury. They’re clean, well tailored, and this pair adds comfort with the stretch fabric.

100% Washable Silk Skirt - One of the biggest trends I’ve noticed with modern quiet luxury is taking more formal fabrics like silk and satin, and styling them for everyday wear. This silk skirt is a great staple to have in your quiet luxury wardrobe, and can be paired with simple basics like a white t-shirt or even something more elevated like the cashmere tee.

Retro 726 High Rise Flare Women's Jeans - If you’re looking to elevate denim in a quiet luxury look, opt for darker wash jeans. This high rise flare pair from Levi’s is great because it creates a flattering silhouette that accentuates your natural shape around the hips, but the flare and relaxed look at the bottom balances it out.

Long Pencil Skirt - This pencil skirt is the equivalent of a plain white tee, there is so much you can do with it. This one from Mango, in particular, offers a good balance of structure and flowyness. It has a straight design, but that doesn’t mean you lose your shape or have a boxy silhouette.

Stretch Crepe Pleated Short - If you’re looking for a pair of shorts, but still want to maintain the more mature and luxurious aesthetic, look for a pair that has a more relaxed fit, but has the addition of pleats, like this one from Quince. It’s such a simple detail, but it clearly makes the shorts look more elegant.

Accessories & Layers

100% Organic Cotton Knit Blazer - Quiet luxury style is nothing without its layering. This knit blazer is a great piece to layer your outfits with. It has the formal cut of a blazer, but the knit fabric adds a sense of comfort and makes it more approachable for casual looks as well.

Cable Cardigan - If you’re looking for a lighter layer, a good cable knit cardigan is key. This one promises the same quality as the other quiet luxury brands, but is a more affordable alternative.

Palermo Leather Sneakers - Classic vintage sneakers are a great staple to have. The vintage aesthetic is what makes it feel luxurious. If you’re looking for that style of sneaker, but want a more affordable option, this pair from Puma is a great alternative.

Gilly Black Bow Ballet Flats - Another quiet luxury staple is a good pair of Mary Janes or ballet flats. This one from Lulus also leans into the coquette style with the addition of the bow. But other than that, we love the simplicity of the black leather that works with almost any outfit.

Nate Bold Huggie Hoops - What I like about this pair of earrings is that you get the combination of the simple gold hoops with a nod to the teardrop earrings we’ve been seeing everywhere. They taper around the clasp so the body of the hoop feels a little chunkier, but it still recreates that same shape you would get from a large drop earring.

Mini-shopper With Rear Padlock - A simple mini bag always completes a look. When I think of quiet luxury bags, I’m immediately drawn to the belted detail around the bag. The brown and gold also feel very trendy with the colors of the season.
