Pantone recently announced Mocha Mousse as their color of the year and we couldn’t be more excited about it. The warm brown hue is meant to symbolize indulgence and comfort, and what better place to incorporate this feeling than the comfort of your own home. We’ve found some of our favorite mocha mousse pieces along with other brown tones or complimentary colors if you’re looking to update your home with the color of the year. Whether it's a small accent piece to compliment the theme you already have going on or you’re looking to revamp your home space and set this color as the theme, we’ve found our favorite pieces for you to include.
Papasan Rattan Chair & Cushion Set - For a color that is meant to inspire comfort, this chair and cushion set brings the sentiment to life. It’s cute, comfortable, warm and inviting, much like Mocha Mousse itself.
Mocha Morning - A painting inspired by the color itself, this piece just acts as a nice accent painting. It’s a great way to include a pop of the color, especially if your home includes other earthy tones that compliment it.
Hand-Tufted Elika Rug - This is another find that you can include as a nod to the color without having it take over your space. Mocha mousse pairs really well with white and other light neutral hues so if you have more of a minimalist and light color palette, this would be a great addition to the space.
Alepel Candle - This is a subtle accent piece. I love seeing white and this shade of brown paired together because of how well it can fit in home.
Marble Bookend - Mocha mousse blends in well with marble material. It looks so chic and so elegant and would be a great subtle pop of color to include on your bookshelf.
Serving Set in Spice - The serving set is more of a pink, but the dark rim around it is reminiscent of mocha mousse. Another find subtly includes the color as a nod and can easily work with your current decor.
Silicone Spatula Set of 6 - These are a great set of basic spatulas to include in your kitchen. The brown tone would work really well in a white jar or utensil holder in your kitchen to make it look really chic.
Bloomingville Stoneware Mug Set - I love the comfort and playfulness of a hand painted mug. The use of the brown and white palette still makes it look mature and chic, making it a great set for your kitchen cabinet.
ettitude Signature Sateen Sheet Set - While this is a more red and warm version of the color, it’s still a nod to the warmth of mocha mousse. The sateen sheets are also super breathable and cooling, which is perfect for a good night's sleep.
Velvet Trova Pillow - If you’re not quite looking to update your entire bedding, but want to still include some of the color, start with a throw pillow. This velvet one is both soft and comforting, while still being chic.
Bamboo Quilt - Another option to simply include a small element of mocha mousse is this quilt. Having this draped over some white sheets would really elevate a much more simple and minimal look.
Lulu Velvet Table Lamp - If you don’t quite want to change the bedding, but still want the mocha mousse decor, a nice bedside lamp would be a good accent of color. The warmth of the color mixed with the warmth of the light would make for a really cozy look in the room.
Soft Rib Towels - Towels are a great way to experiment with different color schemes. You can easily mix and match these with your current set or see how they compliment the other features of your home.
Mid Century Shower Curtain - In contrast to that, we love this shower curtain because it embraces the color more along with other brown tones. The shapes and movement make it such a fun piece to include in your home.
Bamboo Toothbrush Holder - What we love about this toothbrush holder is the simplicity of it. It’s subtle enough that the color could blend well with other elements in your space, but it still looks so elegant in its simplicity.
Premium Cotton Bath Mat, Multistripe - What I love about this mat is the way you can play around with color. This would be a great addition if you have a coastal color scheme or like if you already follow a neutral color scheme and want to simply add a pop of color.
